Annual Holiday Senior Dinner

On Wednesday, November 14th Neighbors for Neighbors hosted its Annual Holiday Senior Dinner. It was a huge hit! Thanks to all of you who prepared the food, served it, made gifts, donated gifts or collected them, decorated, helped with bingo, provided your awesome children's help, helped with entertainment and cleaned up afterward.

The dinner was wonderful and the Bingo afterwards seemed to be a huge hit!

2nd Annual Bartlett Chamber of Commerce Road Ralley

On Saturday, October 20th Neighbors for Neighbors participated in presenting the 2nd Annual Bartlett Chamber of Commerce Road Rally.  Our organization was offered the opportunity to assist with the planning and presentation of the event by the Chamber as a partnership of organizations within Bartlett.   We were very excited to have this opportunity and are very pleased with the outcome. 

A big thank you to all of the Neighbors for Neighbors volunteers who assisted in presenting the event.

The event really went well and I believe a lot of folks who volunteered this year want to participate next year.  So keep your eye out for it next summer - I think everyone who was there would agree that it is something a little bit different to do that can be a lot of fun!

Goodwill

In February of 2007, Neighbors for Neighbors was recognized by Goodwill Industries' Community Assistance Program for the positive contributions Neighbors for Neighbors has made to the community.  As part of the ribbon cutting ceremony at the new Bartlett Store & Donation Center located at 1420 S. IL Route 59, Neighbors for Neighbors was recognized by the Community Assistance Program and received $500 worth of vouchers to use in the Neighbors-for-Neighbors assistance programs.  New Neighbors for Neighbors President Sharon Bersani and Vice President Kim McCulloch were on-hand to accept the award and to speak on behalf of the organization. Neighbors-for-Neighbors and Goodwill Industries are very excited to have their new partnership to assist in contributing to the surrounding community!
